I was so excited to find out that one of my images is in Rolling Stone for the June 2010 issue! I did promo shots for my favorite Blues Man, Keb’ Mo’ several months ago. Keb’ is doing the music for a new TNT show starring Jason Lee, called “Memphis Beat”. On page 4 of Rolling stone is two pages about the show, and an interview with Mr. Keb’ Mo’ about his role with the music. As I specialize in weddings mostly, being in Rolling Stone was not something I thought was in my cards this year, but I must say it is such an honor and certainly makes me want to do more in music…stay tuned!! :)

I am a little delayed on blogging about this, it has been a busy year so far!! I am proud to announce that I have been rated by local brides and voted The Knot Best of Weddings 2010 Pick! This award means a lot to me because it is based on reviews by my clients. This means I am doing my job and making my clients happy which is the thing I love most about my job! I am fortunate to be able to document love and new families beginning, and generations coming together and this award means that I am doing just what I am suppose to do. :) Thank you to all my amazing clients, I really do have the best clients in the world and I feel so blessed.

This handsome couple was so much fun to work with! We think Aryan must have been a model in his other life with his skilled poses! The lovely Fairmont Miramar in Santa Monica was the setting for this elegant and modern, yet classic wedding. Their lovely families made it a wonderful event to be a part of. A new and awesome option for your reception, Meghan Aileen Photography will now be offering a “Photobooth” set up for our weddings. While not exactly a “booth” the backdrop and lights set up is more like a studio shoot with the results of a fun photobooth concept.

You can choose from the old school vintage black and white style images, or the fun and modern crisp color and black and white images. Either way this is a unique option and some really interesting memories to have!

Enjoy!!! These are from Jessica and Michael’s wedding on January 18th, 2009. The bride and groom brought the fun props. You can choose to have props or no props, but it is certainly more crazy with the props! It also helps the guests loosen up in front of the camera when they have something to be silly with.

I just wanted to say that I am sorry for not posting more lately! This time of year is so busy with album design it gets very overwhelming! I will try to keep up better and post more from my recent shoots as soon as I can. :) Happy November!!

Welcome! I decided to update my blog look to represent my style more. I tried to keep the same format to make it easy to navigate, but I think the new look matches the website better and from now on the images can be a little bigger too! I hope you like it and I hope to try to make time during this busy season to post more of my new work. I fumbled through the html editing myself, web design is not really my thing, but I think I did a pretty good job!! :)

Monique Marco is an amazing stylist in Los Angeles. She specializes in sustainable style and has a holistic approach to personal image consulting. We did a really fun shoot downtown for her headshots! I mostly do weddings, but have been asked so much lately to do headshots and portraits, that I have decided to add that aspect to my business!
