{ Michelle Maternity ~ Modern and colorful }
This was such a dream, gorgeous mom to be, Michelle was such a joy to photograph, and in one of my favorite locations in all in Los Angeles. Congratulations Michelle and Otis! I wish you the best and can’t wait to shoot the newborn session!

We had so much fun at one of my favorite locations, the Paramount Ranch. The variety of textures makes a great backdrop for portraits, and the lovely Deva made it hard to not get great shots! This girl powered shoot was a pleasure to do…
{ Jerilynn’s Outdoor Maternity Session }
I love Leo Carrillo Beach in Malibu because of the variety of landscape in one area. The grassy fields, flowers, trees, cliffs and beach make the perfect backdrop for a portrait session. Jerilynn and Ryan and I had a great time exploring the landscape while documenting her beautiful pregnancy. Then we all got a little wet at the end! OK, really wet! Here are some of my favorites from this natural and romantic outdoor maternity session at the beach in Malibu.

{ Holden Le ~ Newborn }
Lesli and Nam are clients of mine from 2008. They flew in from Denver for the weekend and made time to come see me for a session with Holden! Unfortunately Holden’s first weekend of air travel and family visits combined with a photo session, was not very appealing to him! He was very upset for most of our session, but we did manage to get some good shots! Here are a few of my favorites…

{ Liesa ~ Maternity Session }
Liesa and Sean came here last weekend do do an indoor studio maternity session. After having three girls, Liesa is due for a boy and I was honored to capture this for her. We had so much fun incorporating some rock n’ roll, sweetness and a little sexy into our session. Sean was very actively involved with some great ideas too! I had a great time doing this session and I think we got some wonderful variety in the images. I think it is important to help mommies to be feel pretty during this time, especially towards the end and I hope I could give Liesa a view of what a beautiful mommy she is. Here are some of my favorites….

My new portrait business is off to a running start and I am loving it! I will only be posting a small sample on this blog with links to the portraits site, so those that are interested can see the rest if they like. I did 2 sessions yesterday and had fun playing with some fantastic little kids. :)

{ Shanna’s Maternity }
An official new addition to Meghan Aileen Photography, are creative portraits of your newborns, tots and bellies! I did a session on Sunday with Shanna and Tim, one of my 2007 couples. I went to their adorable home and was so excited to see their white and green barn, lemon tree and unique assortment of chairs! We even brought the crib outside too. I had such a great time with these two and am really happy with how this one turned out. Thanks for the rootbeer float too, Shanna and Tim! Perfect way to end a session….
