GOING GREEN
These days every contribution to protecting our environment is so important to our future and the future of your family you are about to begin. Your wedding is a great oppertunity to participate in saving our beautiful earth!

Sarah Shewey of Pink Cloud Events specializes in “Green Weddings” and can give you some wonderful tips and ideas that can still allow you to have everything you want and may even save you some money!

As far as my company, I try to do my part as much as I can…

Shooting all digital…no waste or chemicals
Using only rechargeable batteries
Using recycled or re-using my shipping boxes
My packets for my brides are made of mostly recycled materials
I try to keep correspondence to PDFs and not paper
My proofs for clients are all online, not prints unless they specifically order them
I ship print orders directly to the clients from the lab so that they are not being shipped twice
that are PVC free, and contain no volatile compounds, but look like real leather as well as some natural materials
My main album vendor makes the first eco-friendly wedding album available!!
I also participate in and shoot for some charity and fundraising events when I am able to.

On a more personal note, my husband and I are both vegetarian and are involved in a number of environmental organizations including The Sierra Club, and The National Parks Association, and Access Fund. These are fantasitc organizations that make good use of your contributions.

As a family we are involved the best we know how at this point and are always looking for new ways to do our part for the environment.
I try to extend that into my business every chance I get. Every little bit helps!

ECO HOTEL BOOKINGS
I just found this site, and it is interesting…
If you book a hotel room through their site they will offset the carbon footprint of your stay!
You can search by location to find the hotels that are involved with them. There are some really nice ones!!
